Jane Ward is grown up from the young girl who experimented in her mother’s kitchen when her parents were out of the house and wrote stories in her head when she should have been paying attention in math class. More recently, Jane has combined her love for cooking and writing into a career that includes critically acclaimed novels (HUNGER and THE MOSAIC ARTIST, shortlisted for the 2015 Eric Hoffer Grand Prize), food journalism, video cooking instruction, and rising at two in the morning to bake at a neighborhood bakery. Since 1983, Jane has lived in Chicago, Washington State, and Iceland, and now divides her time between the north shore of Massachusetts and Nyon, Switzerland. She is at work on her third novel, THE WELCOME HOME.
